Gacal is the third feature film from Giza Visuals and the directorial debut of Mohamed Ali. The film was in production since early 2021 and is primarily shot in the Eastleigh area of Nairobi.

It stars some of the most talented and well-known Somali screen actors including Zubeir Mohamed and Abdisattar Ahmed.

In keeping with our mission of growing the film industry, the film is also the feature acting debut of Elyas Mohamud and Basro Dahir, who have stared in an array of short films and YouTube videos, and the first-ever screen appearance of Naima Isse.

Gacal is a fun thrill of a film with interesting characters, anchored in human emotions.
